                Dear Colleagues,

                          Namaskar.

                              After a long gap of more than one year, we are approaching you through this news letter. Because of many unavoidable & inevitable circumstances, we are facing  lot of untoward situations at administration level. The support & active participation of all the branches is most essential.

                Please act promptly on the following points:-

(1)         Please renew your membership with GSFPF by paying Rs. 500/-  Or more as per your branch membership strength for the year 2014-15

(2)         Send your latest membership list  and life of current office bearers( e-list is preferred).

(3)         Inform about your branch activities timely.

(4)         If you will inform about your programmes well in advance, some of the office bearer will attend it.

(5)         Inform about member’s achievements with proof.

(6)         Inform about sad demise of any of your member.

(7)         Please try to arrange Zonal Seminar at your place. The Office will help you if at all needed.

(8)         Any branch wants to avail the benefit of credit hours by GMC, please contact the office.

(9)         Individual members are requested to become life members to avoid hassle of renewing membership on yearly basis. Life membership fees is Rs.1150.

(10)     Update your mobile number and email id to receive regular updates.

We will try to communicate with you all throughout the year through news letter.

FEBRUARY BULLETIN

Presidents` Desk:

Dear Friends,

The year is coming to an end, so is my term as president of this prestigious forum am just recollecting day when I was installed as a president of the forum with lots plans in my mind. The time has just passed like sand from hand.

I have tried to work hard during the year and still I feel there was lot to be done.  During this year I have tried to visit the entire state and made visit to Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Anand, Bhuj etc. places to meet the members.

I had the privilege to host the state conference at Surat. It was attended by the members in large members. I am especially thankful to my FPA Surat team for making this task easier for me and support me host the conference and make it a grand success.

In the end I wish the new team all the best for the time to come. I assure them my full support and active participation in coming years also.

Again I wish to thank all my well wishers and friends for their support during the year.

Last but not the least how can I forget my family without their support I could have not accepted these task.

Dear Friends

Season`s greetings.

I am writing this message with lots of heaviness and mixed feelings in my heart. It was my privilege to become the founder secretary of this forum and carry the responsibility of this dynamic and rapidly growing forum on my shoulders.

The teething phase as expected was very painful; there were lots of difficulties in my path. The road was unknown and destination is infinite. I was fortunate from day one that during this journey I had four worthy presidents and supportive office bearers with the help of whom I could carry this tough task and have stronger base for this forum.

I am really thankful to all my presidents namely 1.Dr.J.V.Shah, 2.Dr.Bimal Buch, 3Dr.K.R.Sanghvi and 4.Dr.Bhupesh Shah, who have worked with me hand in hand during this time.

I would also like to specially thank Dr.Abhay dikshit and Dr.Ashvin Shah, for their continuous support during the journey. I can say that with the help of these senior friends and lots of others I have always been comfortable during this journey of 4 long years.

Due to this whole hearted support we could start our own publication the GSFPF news on bimonthly basis so that we can reach our members and keep momentum going.

There are lots of issues like quackery, increasing membership strength of the association, launching of health scheme, to have office of the forum etc. are pending and I leave for the coming as future challenges .I know with time they are achievable and our new team is capable of this.

Our flagship project “The Family Clinic” is my dream. There are lots more things are needed to be done for this project. Unfortunately we are not ready to upgrade our selves and change the way we practise with time. Lots of our members are still not open to new thoughts and ideas which are must with changing time. Family clinic is really strong weapon which can help all of us to regain our lost glory and survive the turbulent times and put mark in the society.

In the end I can not forget my wife and kids, who were deprived of quality time with them as I was preoccupied with the association activities.

Please forgive me if I have forget to mention any name in this long 4 years journey of mine as Founder Secretary of this vibrant forum.

I wish the new president and his team all the best and assure them of my continuous support in my new role.

NEW TEAM 2012-13

REPORT OF FPCON – 2012 – ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL CONFERENCE

            Our 4^th STATE CONFERENCE OF GSFPF was held jointly with 13^th ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF FPA SURAT on 22^nd January at Jeevanbharti School, Rangbhavan, Nanpura, Surat.

            On 21^st January, there was pre-conference CME from 2 PM to 5 PM. Dinner was arranged at ‘Raj Bhog’ for outstation delegates and musical evening was arranged at night. Delegates from Surat and other cities enjoyed it. In this program, felicitation of the organizing committee was also done. It was conducted by our vice president of FPA Surat, Dr. Madhusudan Umarji.

            On 22^nd January, full day conference was held. More than 400 delegates participated in the conference from various cities of Gujarat, mainly from Ahmedabad, Bhavnagar, Anand, Vadodara, Bardoli, Valsad and Chikhali.

            Inauguration ceremony was held on 22^nd January at 9.30 AM. Mr. Bhimjibhai Patel, standing committee chairman was the chief guest and Mr. Irfan Furniturewala was distinguished guest. Chairman Dr. Bhupesh Chavada and Dr. Jagdish Jariwala gave their welcome speech. Dr. Pragnesh Vachharajani, state secretary, GSFPF, Dr. K. N. Sheladia and Dr. Ashok D. Patel, organizing secretary of FPCON gave report of association respectively. Whole program was conducted nicely by Dr. Vinod C. Shah.

            During whole day, scientific lectures on various interesting topics were given by faculties from Surat and Ahmedabad.

            Our own members Dr. Pragnesh Vachharajani, Dr. Jayendra Kapadia, Dr. Bhupesh Chavada, Dr. Yatish Lapsiwala and Dr. Madhusudan Umarji also presented their scientific papers in the conference and they were well appreciated.

            This time we have arranged program for spouses also. Mrs. Amita V. Shah and Dr. Nita Rana took lead in this program. Sari shopping, Surat Darshan and musical quiz on Dev Anand were arranged, which were conducted by Mr. Naresh Kapadia and Mrs. Pragna Vashi. Everyone appreciated the program.

There were about 24 stalls in the exhibition of various pharmaceutical, surgical and other companies.

All the delegates dispersed with sweet memories of this successful conference and everyone praised the efforts of the organizing committee.

FPA Surat is very much thankful to GSFPF chairman and honorary secretary to extend their support to allow us to host this conference. By hard work of all the committee members and meticulous guidance of senior members of our association, we could do this and succeeded in organizing the conference - the Herculean task. No words can express, describe or explain our gratitude towards them.
